Mallorca is a destination that invites you to relax: fine sandy beaches, turquoise waters and breathtaking landscapes. To find out where to take a dip, here is a list of the most beautiful beaches.
Cala Mondrago: located in the south of the island, this beach is mainly sandy, with a few rocks here and there.
It will appeal to both sun worshippers and scuba divers. Cala Agulla: this beach in the northeast of Mallorca is surrounded by a small pine forest. Its fine golden sand is ideal for playing beach volleyball. It is five hundred and twenty metres long and about fifty metres wide. Es Trenc: it is one of the most famous beaches in Mallorca, with fine white sand. Its picture-postcard landscape is reminiscent of the Caribbean. It is located in the south of the island, fifteen minutes on foot from the town of Campos. Playa de Muro: Also known by the Catalan name of Platja de Muro, this beach is located on the north coast of the island, some sixty kilometres from Mallorca's international airport. Its depth is especially suitable for families with children. Cala Formentor: this beach in the north of the island is almost one kilometre long. Its main attraction is its turquoise waters, perfect for swimming.
Canyamel: although the beauty of the beach of Canyamel is an immediate attraction, its 290 metres long and 80 metres wide may make you hesitate. But don't worry: there is no overcrowding in this quiet seaside resort, ideal for families with small children. Cala Millor: for young people who want to enjoy a beautiful beach while looking for a bit of fun, this seaside resort is a top destination. Cala Mesquida: surfers will not be able to resist this magnificent little beach in the north-east of the island. Its crystalline waters offer great waves. Port d'Alcudia: named a few years ago as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The seaside resort is very popular, while diving enthusiasts can take advantage of the gentle currents here. Puerto Pollensa: is a beach on the north-east coast of the island of Majorca for travellers who are more fluent in Spanish. To get there, you have to drive about six kilometres east from the inland town of the same name.
